My Life in Five Years
Posted in Uncategorized on June 12, 2008 by hhhh013About the drinking culture of the universities in Korea
Posted in Uncategorized on June 4, 2008 by hhhh013
First of all, I want to say I dislike a lot about the university culture of my country, especially drinking and how have to obey our elders. I don’t understand why are we drinking when we join the university and during the university life. This drinking problem is not only in university life, it’s all around in Korean society anyway, but I think the drinking culture of our universities is where the problem begins the beginning of drinking problem in Korean society. The reason for excuse of this is that we had too much pressure in high school so when we enter university, so we have more freedom when we are university students. That’s true, but I don’t know why the alcohol drinks is has to involved.
University is a roomplace for studying but we are drinking more often than studying. I know the situation is much getting better than the old days in a good way, of course. These days seniors or juniors are not always forced to drink with freshman, but if you’re a freshman who has never tried alcohol drinks. I bet you are not very comfortable.
I don’t think that drinking alcoholis always bad. I didn’t intend drink alcohol beverage is absolutely bad. As you might guess, I have never been drunk, but I understand the advantages of drinking with good friends or somebody. Despite of this advantages, I think our universities must not considered as a bar. Every many years during entrance ceremonies in universities, there is almost always a freshman died by too much drinking per one university. The olders like seniors are not very strongly recommend freshmen to keep drinking on the night of the semi-formal entrance ceremony. Unless they fallen into the drinking party atmosphere too much and they lost their judgment, drinking can be death to them. This picture is drinking the alcohol in a bowl. It’s controversial tradition in korean universites.
A brief review of a movie I recently saw
Posted in Uncategorized on May 13, 2008 by hhhh013 I saw the movie “Leon
” recently. It was made by Luc Besson in 1994, it’s some kind of a little bit old famous movie. The movie is in the category of Lolita Syndrome and violence(film noir). Jean Reno was played the professional killer named ‘Leon’. This movie is so famous and I watched it briefly several times when I was young, but I never watched the whole story before. Now I saw this movie to the end, and I really surprised that the girl, Mathilda is Natalie Portman! She so attractive when she was a little kid. Maybe a person who first saw Portman in ‘Leon’ is very fun to watch her growing. In my opinion, this flim is very good to watch when you have plenty of time and no idea about that. Jean Reno in this movie is cool but his dark glasses is very funny.
The most important Korean figure in history
Posted in Uncategorized with tags Add new tag on May 6, 2008 by hhhh013
I think the most important Korean figure in history is King Sejong. Hangeul(the Korean alphabet) is made on the initiative of King Sejong. It is the most scientific alphabet in the world because it’s not be handed down by tradition or is not a copy another nation’s alphabet. King Sejong was helped by his other scholars to create hangul. This alphabet is included in humanity and provision of nature. His face is in the Korean money 10000 won. The age that he ruled(1418 – 1450), also, is golden age of Joseon Dynasty in cultural or scientific way.
Part D: A Vacation I Took
Posted in Uncategorized on May 1, 2008 by hhhh013When I finished my high school life and waited for enter the university, I have a plenty of time really. Maybe almost every Korean high school third grade students are very same as mine. Some of them is studying for a univerisity life or makes some money. In my case I was teaching my nephew who is 10 years old boy in my mother’s family. Nevertheless I have a lot of time still. I think it is my vacation that loaf around home or go out my frineds and play all day long in during this time.
Part C : Something that makes me happy.
Posted in Uncategorized on May 1, 2008 by hhhh013
Something that makes me happy is my hamster. Almost all of my blog posts is associated with my hamster. That means there is a few thing without him in my brain. I usually feel depressed, angry, pessimistic and critical, but he makes me more happy and delightful, optimistic. In fact he doesn’t do anything to me but just look or observe him is enough to me. Actually I like him better than my family because my parents in Seoul had many fight with me. I met him in my terrible high school life. In that time I didn’t study little by little and my mind was going crazy, horrible gradually. One day I bought him in a emart impulsively, and still I didn’t study hard but my mind was getting better than old times. He became a light to me in this world that usually I hate. It is the reason he is very important to me. He makes me realized that the person who gives love is much more happy than the received one.
Korean Common Ramyeon Recipe
Posted in Uncategorized on April 29, 2008 by hhhh013
Here is my common Ramyeon recipe for a single serving. You need 1 egg, 1 dish of kimchi or pickled garlics, 1 Ramyeon package, about 500ml of water, 1 spoon, 1 pair of chopsticks, 1 saucepan, and a bowl. First you should fill the saucepan with about 500ml of water, and boil. When the water boils, put the soup and noodles into the saucepan. After 2 or 3 minutes, break the egg and into the saucepan. Then wait 2 and a half minutes. Remove the grains on the top of the saucepan. Next, pour everything into a bowl. Finally serve and enjoy it with a dish of kimchi.
The April 9 National Assembly Elections
Posted in Uncategorized on April 15, 2008 by hhhh013 My hometown Pung-Nap-Dong in Seoul is located in Song-Pa-Gu but it’s really edge of Gang-Dong-Gu. So I introduce both of them. There is 5 successful candidates in two areas. Song-Pa-Gu’s successful candidates are Park Young-Aa
, Yu Iil-Ho
, Kim Sung-Sun
and Gang-Dong-Gu is Kim Chung-Hwan
, Yun Suk-Yong
. These 5 successful candidates are all in Han-Nara political party, I didn’t know that but it is very interesting. I don’t know anything about them. Canal is one of the hotest issue in Han-Nara political party and also Korea. Han-Nara political party win 153 seats in this Korean National Assembly. It is incresed amount than the last National Assemby elections in 2004. I didn’t vote. Because people who were born before 1989 can vote the Korean National Assembly this time. But I was born in 1990. I know that I have no interests in politics but I think I’m a little bit socially conscious person in some kind of way. I consider the Canal issues are important. I think that is really stupid unnecessary thing. I’m interested in Moon Kuk-Hyun. Because the other candidates are almost look like stupid idiots but rarely only he seems to normal person and he has right ideas and thoughts. In fact, I don’t know many things about politics. I think it is very good idea for students like me to have a day off on election day. Election is important because it is chance to show nation’s power to politicians. It looks like a saying in schoolbooks.
My Perfect Day
Posted in Uncategorized on April 8, 2008 by hhhh013
My perfect day is a rainy day. I like rainy days, but especially in summer or fall. Of course I must in Seoul since I love Seoul because it is my favorite city in Korea. On this day, I have no homework, studying to do, or chores. It doesn’t matter what I do in my room or in the city but I prefer to feel free. Oh! And it must be spent with Poly(My hamster, he is a boy. I love him most in the world.) He usually sleeps on my right hand for 10-20 minutes on average. Sometimes it’s close to 1-2 hour. What a amazing cute hamster is he. By the way when my perfect day I’ll sleep with him and he will sleep on my hand until 9 o’clock on the rainy day morning he will wake me up with his small nose. Maybe he will bite my nose, and I’ll wake up and have a shower. Then I will look out the window and I’ll notice today is a rainy day but I’ll feel fine. After that, I will go out with my friends or somebody. Even my mother, sleep all day long, watch movies, listen to music and loaf around home. Whatever I do, I don’t care about anything. In addiction if I eat high in sugar food like ice cream, cocoa, I don’t gain any fat. It’s really a perfect day. It looks pretty lazy but what a romance!
